America Reads Spanish is an organization whose main goal is to ensure the availability of Spanish language reading materials in schools and libraries nationwide.
American Association of School Librarians
AASL works to ensure that all members of the school library media field collaborate to provide leadership in the total education program, participate as active partners in the teaching/learning process, connect learners with ideas and information, and prepare students for life-long learning, informed decision-making, a love of reading, and the use of information technologies.
American Federation of Teachers
A group of teachers founded AFT to protect their professional interests, benefit the people they served, and create strong local unions affiliated with the labor movement. The AFT has grown into a trade union representing workers in education, health care, and public service.
American Speech-Language Hearing Association
The American Speech-Language Hearing Association is the professional, scientific, and credentialing association for more than 99,000 audiologists; speech-language pathologists; and speech, language, and hearing scientists. ASHA's mission is to ensure that all people with speech, language, and hearing disorders have access to quality services to help them communicate more effectively.

CAL provides language education products and services to educators, service providers, and businesses.
Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorders
Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder is the nation's leading non-profit organization serving individuals with ADHD and their families. CHADD has over 16,000 members in 200 local chapters throughout the country. Chapters offer support for individuals, parents, teachers, professionals, and others.
The Children's Book Council is a non-profit trade organization dedicated to encouraging literacy and the use and enjoyment of children's books since 1945. The CBC sponsors Young People's Poetry Week and National Children's Book Week each year.

Educational Portal of the Americas
The Educational Portal of the Americas is an initiative of the Inter-American Agency for Cooperation and Development (IACD) of the Organization of American States. Its mission is to forge new private/public-sector partnerships to help the people of the Western Hemisphere overcome poverty, benefit from the digital revolution, and advance their economic and social development.
The New York Immigration Council
The NYIC is in the forefront of efforts to expand English and literacy classes for immigrants in New York. This organization produces multilingual resources for all families to use.
The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers (CASLT)

First Book is a national nonprofit organization with a single mission: to give children from low-income families the opportunity to read and to own their first new books. The primary goal of First Book is to work with existing literacy programs to distribute new books to children who, for economic reasons, have little or no access to books.
Institute for Community Inclusion
The Institute for Community Inclusion supports the rights of children and adults with disabilities to participate in all aspects of the community.
Institute for Connectivity in the Americas
The ICA strives to create a true community in the Western Hemisphere by connecting the citizens of the Americas and promoting hemispheric integration through innovative uses of interactive communication technologies.
Institute for Educational Leadership
IEL equips leaders to make a difference by expanding horizons, linking practice and scholarship to policy, and making connections across ideas and individuals, problems and opportunities. IEL offers leadership programs and support for collaborative networking through the National Clearinghouse for Comprehensive School Reform.
International Reading Association
The International Reading Association is a professional membership organization dedicated to promoting high levels of literacy for all by improving the quality of reading instruction, disseminating research and information about reading, and encouraging the lifetime reading habit. IRA members include classroom teachers, reading specialists, consultants, administrators, supervisors, university faculty, researchers, psychologists, librarians, media specialists, and parents.
