Part Two of this report highlights areas of overlap between the research on adolescents' content-area literacy development and literature addressing the academic performance and instruction of ELLs. This process allowed the authors to identify instructional strategies that are beneficial for all students, which they recommend incorporating in future professional development for teachers.
